Read More I had low expectations of this movie.The previews on tv didn't even show any zombies,just zombie dogs.So i had no idea of what to expect.The special effects are great.My only complaint was that it did start out a little slow.On the other hand Michelle Rodriguez's perfomance was brilliant.I just wish she could have been on the sequel. This movie has a slow beginning but in the end it proved to be one of the much better zombie flicks, and also it has a back story to go with it. Milla Jovovich is so beautiful and she can act, she was totally born for this part. I cant say to mcuh for some of the other actors except Michelle Rodriguez has some skill. Though I dont care what anyone says Michelle Rodriguez munches carpet! If your a zombie genre fan this movie is NOT to be missed! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
3 out of 4 people found this review helpful I'm not one to watch films just because a certain person is in it, so the cast really did not impress me. Of course, acting was not really high in priority for this one. It was just straight action with a touch of horror, and it had that hint of comic book feel to it. For one of the first movies based ona video game, I think they did a pretty good job, starting off a string fairly nicely. After this, they just kept getting better, which is rare in a film string.--- Plot and action were realitively good, much better than the usual zombie flick. Read More the movie it self is ok, but the dedication to making it a "Resident Evil" movie was abused terrificaly. if you ask most R.E., they'd tell you the same thing,... it was just about nothing like the game(s).. and cuz of this, it is a descrace. its ashame, cuz the same director did "MORTAL COMBAT", now that was definately like the game,.. he did an excellant job on that, but probably never played through a RESIDENT EVIL game!
