The best-seller by sentimental novelist Nicholas Sparks becomes this teen melodrama set in a coastal North Carolina port. Cocky, popular high school student Landon Carter (Shane West) is the big man on campus at Beaufort High School until a hazing incident leaves a fellow student paralyzed. Sentenced to community service and membership in his school's drama club, Landon is forced to seek help from Jamie Sullivan (pop singer Mandy Moore), the conservative, religious, plain-Jane daughter of the town's Baptist minister (Peter Coyote). When the two students begin to fall in love, Landon struggles with the drop in popularity that his new friendship brings, while Jamie is forced to deal with her strict father and a secret that she's keeping from her schoolmates. a bad guy tranformed to a good one because of LOVE!! the movie was great. it's typical but very true to life. i also loved it because no issue on sex was seen, unlike the other teenage movies that having premarital sex all over the film. Very good production

This movie was just so-so. The beginning was exciting, but I expected more interaction from the rest of the cast as the movie went on. A kid gets paralyzed in the beginning and only one kid visits him after he goes to rehab hospital? I thought it was going to be more about the whole gang of kids, then just this sappy love story about the popular kid and the geek with a secret illness. I was dissapointed.

I read the book, "A Walk to Remember" and it was absolutely beautiful. Nicholas Sparks tugs at your heartstrings with each book he writes. Have plenty of tissues handy for this story. You will need them! Loved it so much!!!

i absoutly love this movie. i had rented it from other on-line movie site before switching to blockbuster again. i liked this movie so much that i watched it twice and ended up buying it. if you haven't seen this movie, rent it.. then buy it. its so worth it!

    This is a real tear jerker so have your tissues ready. It was a little weird at the beginning, but it's awesome that a selfish, self-centered kid can change and have compassion for a girl everyone is making fun of. It truly shows that a kid doesn't have to be with the "in crowd" to fit in.

    this is a wonderful movie i fell in love with it the first time i saw it they should make more movies like this these days but they dont.Anyone who hsnt seen i highly recommend this movie to watch. If your looking for a movie to watch when your with you love you should get this one definently!!!

    This was a great movie. So touching, so deep, great message. I ordered this movie after I read the book, and I actually found the movie to make me cry unlike the book, I don't know why. The movie is much different than the book, but it is amazing. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who's looking for a great love story, and a good cry too!
