This is a awesome video. TSO is a very uniqe band i cant say i have ever heard anyone do what they do. For the dvd and thier albums they have a 60 piece orchestra formed from some of the best orchestra players in the world and then add a rock band fronting them with many differnt signers from r&b to rock to classical to gospel. ITs beautiful to listen to and to watch. Thier music is so very powerful and so uplifting. They have 1 album that is not chrstmas called bethovens last night and it is just as powerful as well. This video captures TSO with some of thier best chrsitmas hits. Check out thier site at trans-siberian.com and when they are on tour near yoo if you like this dvd see them concert for a experience that will move you and you will never forget. We bought the CD and were interested in finding out about the story on the DVD. The story really does not add anything to the songs. In fact, either you like the music or not. Music is a mix of classic rock, gospel and traditional interpretations of new and old Christmas carols. Okay to watch once, but not again.

If you have seen them in concert, you have experienced the magic and understand why they have a cult following. If you have'nt, do yourself a favor and take everyone you care about (if you think they may like this music) to see them. This DVD does not quite capture the neo-modern visual effects and power of the live performance, but it does pay tribute to some of their classics. I realize the DVD was recorded in 2001, and I can accept its limitations.
