This movie shows what actually occurs to someone when they're depressed and have no emotion-for anyone who is going through it or has friends. Christina Ricci is so amazing in this role i forgot that she was acting. This movie deserves to get more attention than it got but if your thinking about seeing it do it your two hours will be well spent

I realize that it's based on a real story, it's based on real depression, etc, but I just found the movie painful. The characters were all depressing, the chain smoking was depressing, the cussing was depressing, and it was hard to catch even a glimmer of light or hope. I understand that's what the author and director wanted to do, and they did it well, so if you want to experience and understand depression, this movie is a great choice.

I thought this movie truly portrayed, in-depth, what was going through this girls mind. Very realistic. Very good movie.

I gave it a high rating only because of the opening scene with a stark naked Ricci sitting on her bed. This was back before she turned anorexic and she still looked incredible. Watch that one scene, then shut this puppy off. The rest is not worth your time.

Pretty average retelling of the writer's story. Seemed like a better movie for Lifetime.
