It has a dramatic plot that is done very well. Very realistic in all aspects with a surprise ending. It's a true story.

This was a great portrayal of someone who suffers from depression and what their families and loved ones go through. But very depressing in itself. The actors in this really pulled it off and made it a good film. I didn't see the point though in the big nude scene in the beginning, but whatever sells films right?

An excellent portrayal of the quinessential "tortured intellectual", with imbalance issues along with it. Plus, Ricci is naked in the first 10 minutes!

This movie is great at first and surprising at last. What is the point of the movie? Are we all supposed to get on prozac to fit socially or finish a college paper or writing an assignment or deal with your parents divorce? I found the conclusion of the movie horrific, badly articulated and superficial. In fact, the best parts of the movie are those not relevant to the overall message, such as the college life and relationship. The center debate on the use or overuse of drugs to help kids is never really treated. Not pointless but a disappointing movie – 2 stars.

After the opening scene when Christina Ricci's magnificent breasts make their appearance, this movie goes right down the drain. It's one thing for her to wallow in her misery and turn to drugs, but when she starts turning on everyone close to her, you really start to dislike her.

This was a good movie about depression and pills. They can really screw up if u don't use them right and mix them with alcohol. It was a good movie with great actors!

I can get crummy attitude, poor me wallowing in my misery anytime. Who wants to watch it on screen when you don't feel empathy for the lead since she appears so self-absorbed for apparently no reason? I couldn't get past the first 1/2 hr. I usually like all the actors involved in this movie but it was a snooze fest.
