Funny, Romantic, and Beautiful. Realistic or not, the film, set in India, not only tells the stories of those in romantic relationships but also deals with heavy issues. Honesty, trust, love (familial and romantic), honor...all are subjects in this film. The music is beautiful, the lines are funny, and the stories are romantic (in more ways than one). Rent it! I loved Monsoon Wedding! The movie shows the power of true love, faith, and forgiveness! Plus I enjoyed seeing the beautiful colors and colorful clothing of India, amazing! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

A terrific and talented cast delivering nuanced performances in a film that is about MUCH more than it appears at its outset. I won't give away the plot, but believe me, there is a LOT going on this movie and I think it is safe to say you will find it to rank among the best of foreign (or American) films. Yes, it's can be cheesy. But this movie is a funny and entertaining way of seeing what an Indian wedding is like...family, noise, choas, and love.

I really enjoyed the muliple love plot lines in this film. It was a nice portrayal of an extended Indian family in Dehli as they prepared for the big wedding of their daughter. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
