The "big heist" robbery scene reminded me of the 60's TV series Mission Impossible. A hugely complicated plan is executed with muliple secret signals, and careful attention to the wristwatch. Mild violence occurs during the robbery, but look out when the thieves start fighting over the loot. It gets very bloody. This movie is not for the faint of heart. They are all bad guys, career criminals. Hackman plays the leader of the thieves, and he is so good...he carries the film. Heist twists and turns so much, you really have to have a talented cast to pull it off...luckily, the cast is great and they do pull it off nicely. Allegiances are traded back and forth as everyone tries to out think the other as they pull off the heist and the story twists it's way to who would end up with the biggest piece of the pie. Hackman is brilliant. As always his character is the smartest guy in the room and he makes the journey very satisfying. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

For some odd reason, the director decided he was going to throw in as much complicated lingo as he cool. Like the "job stands" and we are gonna "flip it on its head". Every sentence leaves you guessing what they are talking about. Great actors and a potientially good movie, but the diologe was too complicated. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? I kept having to ask myself, are they serious? I've never seen such poor acting, and the premise of acting inside of fake acting inside of fake real acting, was just terrible. This was an embarassment to the highly skilled actors that were cast. The writing was terrible, and clunky. The execution of the script even by skilled actors was poor. It was obvious that this writer/director allowed no artistic license to the actors in their parts and as a result all the dialogue was akward, not to mention the prolific use of code language made the piece even more akward and unclear, instead of seeming clever. I was looking for a good heist movie and the dialogue was so awful I couldnt even get into the good part of the heist. Dont waste your time with this peice of crap, production. Read More Great cast, poor movie. Looking at the list of actors in this movie it seemed like a no lose situation but it just goes to show that everyone has their off days. This movie tried too hard to be "cool" and it wasn't. Weak plot, lots of loose ends and it just didn't work. Can't recommend this one. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
