A very unique film based on the memories of an elderly woman recalling the days when the guns barked and the outlaws fell. This movie is a good reason why America is abandoning their Television sets and looking for action and adventure films on DVD!

I have to say that other than the Last King of Scotland, this is the most violent film I have ever seen. Heads are decaptiated and placed on spikes. As other reviewers have said, the flashbacks can be a bit ambiguous and confusing at times but the plot is very exciting. The relationship between Edge and Angela or "Prune" is quite entertaining and touching. Worth watching if you like action fims.

A very disappointing attempt at the use of flashbacks to tell a tale. As another has already noted, the portion of the movie that I watched was disjointed and extremely difficult to follow. I too did not finish the film (as stated by a previous reviewer). Those who are fans of Joseph Fiennes should stick with "Shakespeare in Love" or "Enemy at the Gate."

This was one of the few movies I could not finish because it was so horrible. The story was very disjointed being told by a series of flashbacks as the old woman tells the story of two cowboy brothers and their hate/love relationship. The film was so busy switching back & forth from present day to the past - it was quite jarring and distracting from the story, if there was one and the disjointed story became so tedious & strange I no longer cared what was happening in the story. I package this dvd and shipped it back after watching about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the movie. Recommendation: Don't bother renting. Not worth your time.
