Lots of action and a terrific performance by Denzel Washington. The character he portrays in this movie is the opposite of what I usually thought of when I see his movies. A different role for him in this movie and he pulled through with flying colors. This movie takes a you deep inside the criminal world and a look at the action of one detective assigned to enforce it. Very powerful and an engrossing movie.

The movie took a few unexpected turns that allowed the movie to be good - but not great. I was expecting more out of the movie. I thought Denzel Washington held his end of the bargain, but I thought Hawke was very uneven and not very good. Neat concept and not bad overall, but not awesome.

I lost interest in this movie within 10 minutes. Story didn't make much sense, unnecessary language. I love Denzel, but hated this movie.
