This film is considered by some as Martin Scorsese’s greatest triumph. Never before nor since have we had the ability to see the inner THOUGHTS of a rock band. What is really interesting in this two hours plus musical extraganza is the segways between each featured rock artist? But it’s Stan the Man who without a doubt steals the show. With his version of “Turn Up Your Radio.” Also of note is Jonie Mitchell’s “White Line Prisoner Of The Freeway”., But when it comes to guitar work seeing Robie Robertson and Eric Clapton trade the stage with an incredible duo is mind blowing. Last but absolutely not least is the three set segment mix with Bob Dylan. FYI Dylan was instrumental in bring the Band into the forefront of Rock and Roll .This is by far better then the current release of Scoresces’s new docudrama “No Direction Home” with Bob Dylan. There is just no comparison to the two movies. THIS IS A DVD KEEPER

This is one of the top five concert DVDs both in terms of cinematography and sound recording. A must-have for the concert DVD aficionado. Not just the band but a host of legends (Neil Diamond notwithstanding) met for this farewell concert. Turn it up and enjoy it.

After all the great reviews, I was expecting something pretty special--and it didn't disappoint, it was even better than I was expecting. I have added this dvd to my Christmas list.
