This movie left a lasting inpression on me and I have always remembered this movie as being very disturbing (mainly the rape scene). A good horror flick for its time. Not as bad as everyone else here says, but not the best either. What do you expect form and older movie?? Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I bet this is what serial killers and people like Charles Manson watch. It had fairly realistic violence and it does its job better than most horror movies, but even so, this isn't a very good movie. Cliches abound and the dialogue is terrible. How this makes an R rating while things like Eyes Wide Shut and Trainspotting have to cut a couple of fairly mild sex scenes is beyond me. Recomended only if you want to scare your out of control teenager straight. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I guess that the only old movie I can still enjoy is Friday the 13th, because the camp has a timeless look. This movie was so badly transferred to DVD and the music so out of date it was painful to watch. The acting was terrible and the movie was just pointless. You have to be a die-hard fan to enjoy this. I didn't enjoy at all. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Piece this together with me, escaped sexual offenders, teenage girls going to a concert un-escorted, parents at home getting ready for party and partying, police with their thinking caps not on straight... Just a big mess waiting for anything bad to happen.
The violence is disturbing and totally brutal... Definately not one of Wes' best creations or films. Guns, knives, chainsaw, blood, don't waist time on this rentral... Suggest an Argento movie instead. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More After you get past the painfully bad acting & nausiating dialouge, you are left with a movie that had a decent premise and had potential. When I take into consideration that landmark classics Night of the Living Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre were released around this same point in time, with Halloween to follow a few years down the road, Wes Craven's 1st flick was painful. I can only give the movie the benefit of the doubt that when it was released it might have caused a stir. How times have changed. I can see where the cliches of modern horror movies to come may have originated from now. This movie was really, really bad. Not the worst I've ever seen, but still bad. Don't even get me started on what they possibly could have been thinking when they put together the soundtrack for the movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
