This villain is all ORIGINAL. He's not a goofy looking psycho like Freddy and his nails. The Creepers villain is wicked, mean scary looking AND he sprouts huge wings. The images of the monster flying away with a victim in his clutches silhouetted in the moonlit sky are actually quite beautiful while terrifying.
This film has a strong story line. It is uncomplicated yet not predictable. Grand horror in every sense of the word. Characters don't come across as clueless idiots like in other films. After I watched the first "Jeepers Creepers" I immediately rented the sequel. The dynamics of the characters in the second movie is kind of like people stranded in a life boat and pointing fingers trying to figure out who's next. It actually worked pretty well in a broken down bus in the middle of nowhere.
Both films are just plain fun, and really well made with several locations not just some stupid cabin in the mountains. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I can see where today's younger audience will be put off, this is more like the original Halloween, and a lot less like the 6th installment of Friday the 13th. Not as much about the kills and gore as the genuine suspense and scares. If your the type that needs to be spoon fed a complete background on the creature, you will be disappointed. If you understand that a good horror movie leaves a few intentional holes to keep the menace mysterious then you will get this. The new "shape" creature takes a bit of getting use too. Watch this with the same director/writer's sequel, (which is actually the better movie) Just like "The Shape) the creature can not be killed. It is easy to see that the director was defiantly influenced by Hitchcock & Carpenter.
I will agree the ending is a bit abrupt, but part 2 takes up the very next day and expands on the story. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Probably one of the worst ending I have ever seen in a movie. You never really find out what the creature is or where it came from. the creature suspensly, creepy in the beginning turns into a weird looking vampire bat???!!! From the beginning to midpoint (up to the prison scence where you find out what the creature looks like) is pretty good 4-star type movie but it goes down fast from there. And to top it off, what was the point of the cat lady or the fat black lady who you think are going to play a part in the movie but never do, very confusing! Gina Phillips plays his sister, he's going home from college, to moms. Soo good.
I even have the dvd and watched the directors extras. Worth buying. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

(actually downright non sense.)
Watch with others so that the cost of the movie can be split if there is nothing else. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
