Read More OK, this was somewhat entertaining, but it quickly became too contrived and scatter brained. There were just too many ill developed characters and bizarre sub plots to try and keep up with. A decent attempt, and the reversal of stereotypes was a clever idea. This film lacked in the execution of those ideas. Some more editing may have helped. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful This is a great gay movie. Fun interesting and fast moving. I think the relationship between the men is a little cold but they address that at teh end of the film to my satisfaction. My partner says that we don't know how much loving kisses they do behind closed doors! He is no fan of Public Displays of Affection like I am.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

I left the theater feeling that my expectations had been met. But, after watching it again a few times on DVD(mainly because Greg Lauren and Christopher Gartin were so gorgeous playing the happy couple) I realized that there was more to this farce than I had picked up on initially. True, there is no shortage of gay stereotypes--played mostly by straight characters--but the 2 leads are decidedly not and manage to convey the fact that these guys are deeply committed to each other. The sons of the Mafia don also knock down some stereotypes. As farces go, this one is far better in my book than something like Meet the Fokkers. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? I didn't like Max and the other guys being made into "flaming queens". I don't understand why Stephen and Danny never kissed. They didn't even give each other a passionate embrace. What's up with that? They barely held hands. Overall, though, the movie was fun and the basic concept was a great idea. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
