What a disappointment. Too much political stuff and bad dialog. Will Smith did not look anything like ALi or even act like him. Not enough smiling and little or no fighting scenes. Poor film. I slept through most of the movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

I think?
anyways, will smith after about 5 minutes made u forget he's the fresh prince of bel air or mike lowery of the bad boys films ..he really sunk h is teeth into this role and did as good a job as anyone could tryin to be the king!
good movie. a bit slow in parts but real drama, and some great fighting and real insight into the life of the man!

Read More Amazing jobs by Will Smith and Jon Voight, who I didn't even recognize. It's a little hard to keep up with the historic events of the time, even when you have lived through them, so I definitely recommend you watch the special features that are part of this DVD so you can appreciate the full effect of what M. Ali went through and did. I love after-the-fact historic docu-drama and this one is very good. Not Ali's whole life--just an important slice of it. And not just for boxing fans either. I really wanted to like this and I know there's a good story there. There is one part where Ali is running, and I know I fell asleep again as I was drifting in and out, and when I woke up again he was still running! It was then time to just give it up. My husband and I did not finish watching because it was just too slow. Michael Mann must attend the Oliver Stone school of directing! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
