Nicholas Cage's accent was in my opinion terrible and the movie would have been better without it , however, he does a good job in his role so its forgivable. Nicholas Cage is very different in the movie, but enjoyable. Penelope Cruz as wonderful and believable. It is filled with tragedy and love. I was just looking for a love story. I got more than I expected. John Hurt, Christian Bale, Penelope Cruz and Nicolas Cage all turned in wonderful performances. The story was more complex and moving than I anticipated. Overall, an enjoyable romantic drama. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
