They did an amazing job with this whole film. I have watched this movie at least 3 dozen times, and it is still great each time I watch it. This is a definite must watch film, especially if you like Musicals like Rent. A great movie to watch with your spouse or by yourself. An amazing film about love and overcoming barriers that prevent people in love to be with each other. Check out this movie now if you have not seen it, it is well worth the time. Poor Nicole Kidman to have to suffer through this. What ever happened to the enchanting Moulin Rouge film of the 50s with Jose Ferrer and one of the Gabor sisters as Jean Avril??? Read More Exquisite movie. Judging from the other reviews, if you liked the 1950s version, then you shouldn't expect this version to be similar and you probably won't like it. Expect melodrama and unique cinematography. This film is artistic and beautifully crafted, at that. When you watch it, try to think of the times in your life when you were the most in love and happy. It will make you experience those feelings all over again. Also, maybe drink a bottle of French wine while watching it. One of my favorite movies; I even cried after watching it the first time. Also at the end when Saline dies I cry way to hard, guess that's just because Nicole is such a fabulous actress. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
