Television star Tom Green makes his directorial debut with this gross-out comedy. Green stars as Gord Brody, a 28-year-old slacker who aspires to be an animator of Hollywood cartoons. After his dreams of working for studio mogul Dave Davidson (Anthony Michael Hall) temporarily wash out, along with his thankless job at a cheese factory, Gord returns home to live with his parents, Jim (Rip Torn) and Julie (Julie Hagerty). Jim wishes that Gord would simply grow up, move out of the basement, and get a real job like his younger brother Freddy (Eddie Kaye Thomas), who works in a responsible position at a bank. When the battle of wills between Gord and Jim heats up, Gord devises various stunt-like schemes to drive his father bonkers, including the bogus charge that their father molested Freddy as a youngster. Marisa Coughlan co-stars as Gord's wheelchair-bound, nymphomaniac, amateur rocket-scientist girlfriend Betty, while comedian and Green's fellow Canada native Harland Williams plays Gord's oddball neighbor Darren. ~ Karl Williams, Rovi

This is one of those movies that you will either love or hate, there is really no one I've talked to who is in the middle on this one. I have never really cared for Tom Green before seeing this movie, but while watching this with my girlfriend, there were scenes in here that we both just found hysterical. Some of it is totally tasteless and the style of humor is definitely not for everyone, but you won't know unless you check it out. Also, Rip Torn, who plays Tom's father is brilliant. The relationship between the father and son in this movie is what made it so funny to me. If you go in with no expectations, you may be pleasantly surprised despite all the harsh criticism on this one.

I think the reason this film received such low ratings is the new milleniums fascination with "reality tv". If you a reality tv buff, this film is not for you. Heavily dosed with absolutely FUN imanitive antics, Tom Green skates away with deliberate fantasy crossed with sardonic humor and sub genius wit. Brilliant movement through the scenes, I think the reviewers missed the point, which is to be entertained. You just need to relax and kicj back, and let the adventure begin. Also, the theme of the film is intact worty thoughout... not one of those random collges that you tired trying to follow. If you like silly... if you hated your step dad, or just plain didnt like the big picture tranit from teen to adult... you should find plenty of laughs here.

Nothing about this movie makes it worth the time to watch it. I am a Tom Green fan but this was just not something I can see anyone enjoying in any way shape or form.

In-laws basically forced me to watch this tripe. I couldn't believe it was this bad. Don’t get me wrong, I'm a frequent fan of wild, over-the-top, irreverent, innovative humor this was just not funny; incredibly tasteless, pointless, childishly nasty, and painful to watch. Only for the brain-damaged who see themselves in the insipid characters portrayed and successfully delude themselves that they are "with it". If this is truly hip, I weep for the future of the human race.

I got ripped off. That movied sucked. Worst movie ever. What I can't figure out is who would give this movie more than 1/2 a star.
