Reminded me of several other movies that I recently watched. It was a mix of everything and kept my interest. But, I knew the ending before it even began because it was so obvious!

Great potential with an excellent cast but the film is very weak - thus the lack of box office. How any of the cast or Sam Raimi ever considered making this script is beyond me. Clearly they all got charmed by Billy Bob who needs to stick to acting from this point on. The amazing Blanchett is fully wasted as she tries to make something out of this story not worthy of LIFETIME TV. In addition Raimi must have known he had a bad film as the photography and editing are truly uninspired.

The cast was great, but the whole film was dark and depressing. If you're looking for a horror flick that doesn't require much thought and doesn't show much blood, this one fits the bill. If you're looking for genuine drama or suspense you won't find much - unless you don't watch many movies and don't recognize the many clues. Several times I thought about bailing, but I hung in there waiting for the "good parts" that never came. There are many other films worth your time more than this one.
