Read More Wow, this movie was entertaining and very much different from the Hollywood Schlock that gets churned out daily. The fact that it takes a while to develop is good because just when you're about to give up you get a huge ending full of revelation and drama which makes u smile when it's done. A sad story overall with dark comedy. Kept me guessing but just in the loop enough to stay interested. Good for movie geeks and people who like suspense and mystery. Read More Good movies, even great movies sometime take 2 or 3 viewings. The end is the beginning, so only at the end of the movie will you begin to understand everything in the movie. Maybe. It takes a long time to get there, so some people may not like the ride, but it is a remarkably different experience.
The take away theme ( you can not always trust your own memory because you do not know how your memories formed, or why you value them) is well worth the viewing . This film imparts a questioning of our mind, time, and what we really can value...which is truly significant. This is the kind of movie I would buy because I know it is worthy of viewing years to come.
This a remarkable film and the director is outstanding.
For those who don't like it: See it twice and you'll understand it better and better. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

If you are interested in experiencing the interesting day-in-a-life survival skills of a certain "condition" - if you are interested in a editing ride- then this is for you.
I studied movies/directing in college - so I enjoyed it. My husband did not - and did not enjoy it. He hated it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The story is told in a backward timeline, which may confuse some people. I didnt have any trouble following it...i actually like that sort of thing. Tarantino is a master at it.
The problem is that you're left just as clueless about "what's really going on" at the end of the movie as you were at the beginning. It's not the sort ending where it's "open to interpretation", it just never answers ANY questions. Basically everything the characters say "might be" or "might not be" a lie, and none of them are ever revealed as absolute.
The development of the main character is pretty intensive. You begin to sympathize with him from very early in the film, however at the end some things are revealed about him that make you question why you even cared. I left feeling it was a shallow story with a really cool plot gimmick. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
