If you can appreciate the humor in movies such as Clockwork Orange, you will really love this one. Chopper is interspersed with a lot of blatantly violent scenes, though the story is very well done. Mark Chopper is the dominant character in the movie, and you may find yourself reluctantly liking him, as he exibits dramatically conflicting personality qualities. This is a grossly underappreciated film.

This movie is original, like all the originals. Humorous with some gore. Eric Banna was The Genius of this film.

Only thing I found wrong with this film is that I wanted to know more about the infamous quirky Mark "chopper" Read.

I totally LOVE this movie, at the top of my favorites list. Eric Bana is AMAZING, really nailed this character. The only other person that could have played this part better is Chopper himself.

...probably should have been. Funny and endearing but scary as hell, the story of Mark "Chopper" Read is like watching tasty sausage being made. Repellant but poignant in what it says about us for wanting not only to watch but also to devour it. You are what you eat...and stop looking at his ears!

Not only is "Chopper" crude and immature, the Australian "english" is slurred and loaded with strange slang, without access to subtitles. The real Chopper in the special features comes across as a moron who thinks he is smart. For him to have become a cult figure in Australia does not reflect well on the Australian people. The police are stupid in the movie, as are the drooling media and the the actual filmakers in the features. Dumb and dumbmers. Maybe I have to watch my back now, that I don't get chopped.

It probably would have been better if I saw it with sub-titles.

underdog was discontinued after some people thought that taking a pill could make him a superhero. A a cartoon this was very funny. In this live action maybe it would be better as a cartoon. After taking sooo...many bullets nothing bothers him? One .45 acp would at the least would knock him on his butt.
