Great movie. Accurate portrayal of Jimmy Hoffa. 2 minutes into the movie you are convinced that Jack Nicholson is Jimmy Hoffa. Great story great theory on the controversial views of how and why Hoffa "went missing". If you are in the mood for a political thriller this is it.

This shows the tragic arc of the American Labor Movement from the picket line to the golf course for the executives in the labor movement. Nicholson's performance is A+! Strong and abrasive. I thought it would take me at least the first 10 minutes of the movie to be able to sink into the notion that he was Hoffa...but that did not happen. I immediately saw past nicholson and was able to concentrate on the character of Hoffa. That's a sign of a great actor! Director Danny Devito did a good job balancing this charachter by giving pleasure to all qualities of Hoffa. I now have more of respect for Hoffa and what he was trying to achieve.

Extraordinary!!! What a great movie! Jack's acting was suberb. Almost felt sorry for Hoffa. I'm surprised this movie wasn't more popular when it was released.
