However, I came out of the movie experience disappointed. It is not that the movie is bad, it is just that after the 1st story (movie is 3 stories that are somewhat interwoven), the movie loses its momentum. I really liked the first story, but the subsequent two stories just weren't that interesting. So overall, I say it's just an average movie. Its refreshing to see people act like people rather then the glamorized version of people. The story is original. The car crash, which is the vortex from which the various dramas emerge, is not a car flipping cartoon fiasco, as Hollywood likes to make car crashes. The dramas themselves seem real and interesting. You must be willing to see some graphic dog fight scenes even though it claims that no animals were hurt in the making of the movie. Also, I disagree with the English translation of the title. Read More This movie realy isnt all that much like Pulp Fiction (my favorite movie) it just rips off its style. It reminded me more of Babel because of its more serious tone and its not a feel good movie what so ever. It was also very long and dragged on. However the first of the 3 interconnected (loosely) really had ... Read More The 3 story deal made me feel there was more to this film than I caught on first viewing. Sadly I was wrong, there is much less. However the first of the 3 interconnected (loosely) really had alost of things going for it. As for the second, hearing the model cry for her dog made me wanna slam my fist into the television, I did't care for it much a brought the whole of the movie down. The third story, the guerilla, was much better than the model and the cheating husband but I still couldn't care less if he ever saw his daughter agian.
The same director gets it right with 21 grams and if you enjoyed the style of Amores Perros you will forget all about it having watched 21 grams. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||
