The gunplay is creative and thoughtful (!) and the plot will sometimes make you squirm. Not just for its violence. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More A 9 month pregant woman (Juliette Lewis) about to give birth causes a verbal outcry from a Mexican Brothel Owner who says he can't have her running around 9 months pregnant, shrieking and bleeding on the floor and upsetting his customers in the establishment! The girl is being pursued by 2 would be kidnappers and climaxes in a wild series of gunfifhts with the "working girls" being cleared out of the brothel & bar before the first major gunfight. If you are an elderly person, you will not fall asleep watching this movie. Outstanding Action and role playing! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More For one reason or another The Gun Fight at The OK Coralstill remains the best ways to depict gun play. To date no one has managed to come up with a better idea. Modern day movies like Heat and By Way of The Gun are good examples of the aforementioned format. This film was a big surprise, not that I didnt think Del Toro wasn't a fine actor, but Rye Philippe gave an outstanding performance, and his best outing to date. This is a terrific film that moves fluidly, there are not many holes in the plot, and those are plugged at the end,as well as some surprises at the end. A pictures perfect silique by Rye Philippe sums up his life as we saw in "The 25th Hour" with Edward Norton. I liked this movie so much that I bought a copy for my DVD collection. This a good rental, and better yet with Killing Zoe Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More If you liked "Reservoir Dogs", then chances are you'll like this film. However, this film suffers the same defects as "RD" - excruciating violence with no redeeming value. The acting though is quite compelling and Del Toro is excellent. In conclusion, the film reinforces the truism that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to be a criminal. Read More Begins with possibly the nastiest dirty-mouth scene on record. Gets a bit better with an unusual set of borderline characters and a situation of some interest and tension. The story is comprised of events surrounding the planned kidnapping of a surrogate mother in advanced pregnancy.
The last of many shootouts takes place in a Mexican whorehouse among evermore combatants with unlimited ammo. One of the minor "good" guys appears to be slain three times. Calling it an homage to "Butch Cassidy" is overgenerous and kinder than it deserves. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
