Read More This is a must see film for all that believe in holding true to who we are as human beings. Although the issue here is an "inter-racial" marriage, the bigger question is about Love and its impact on our lives. In this regard, this film is as profound as Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet". Although our couple is on the cusp of getting married, societal pressures attempt to stop this marriage. It is only when the father has an epiphany on the importance of Love in every relationship that he understands the need for our lovers to be together. This is highly recommended... you will not be disappointed!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The dialogue is fast-paced, intelligent, funny and biting. Although the subject matter may appear dated by today's standards, if you watch it as a historical commentary of the time, you'll see it's true brilliance. All the performances are stellar and perfectly cast. You can't imagine there could be a more seamless, perfect film. A must see! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Even those who support either concept, have strong reservations about their loved ones being treated harshly for the rest of their lives. Hopefully all can have the movie ending! Read More 'Guess Who's Coming to Dinner' is a classic piece of cinema from 1967. Even though it is from the 1960s, the dialogue is as sharp as dialogue heard in current films. An impressive cast is featured, including Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier, and Katharine Hepburn. And although I believe this film is a very good piece of filmmaking, it suffers from a number of elements. For one, there is too much dialogue, albeit good dialogue at that. Second, Spencer Tracy's long speech at the end is a bit contrived. Still, the movie's strengths lift it high above its flaws. In conclusion, a very good film.
