As much as I like Mark Ruffalo and Laura Linney, this movie just misses. We never really come to care for the characters, who seem as lost as the main thread of this movie. Some of the ideas were great and it has it's moments, most definitely. But it feels more like a Soap Opera than a Feature Film. Too bad. Movies like, Empire Falls, Affliction, In the Bedroom, Nobody's Fool, etc. do it soooo much better, re: small town intrigues. And I'm not saying there had to be more "tragedy" in the movie, just more substance. But it's an okay watch if you need to fill up your Queue.

I enjoyed the movie. The background music was so bad that I turned it down every time it started. I have never seen a movie with such horrible background music.

The movie went on for two hours going into great depth about the lives of the brother and sister. The movie's conclusion left much to be desired. The movie felt unfinished.

Eh, it's really not that great. I'd say it was mildly entertaining at best.
