This is a great rainy or cold weekend movie to watch. There isn't a minute that you want to miss. Younger children even enjoy watching this movie.

Great spin on classic fairy tales. My 8yr old daughter just loved it and watched it over and over. This is a great alternative to the cartoon versions for the older ones. Would recommend to anyone with children over age 6 and adults alike.

The movie begins with the wicked witch's apprentices turning the prince into a dog and the dog escaping to New York City through a magical mirror with troll's chasing it. Disk one plays well and is a pleasure to watch. Disk 2 Doesn't Play properly on all DVD players rent it at your risk. Disk 3 plays well and is a pleasure to watch.

This is a movie that attempts to reach a height that is impossible for several reasons: First, it is a childlike tale, yet it is too violent and mature for the children's genre. Secondly, if it is to be geared for adults, it needs to have a more reality-based feel - wolves who are part-human? It is somewhere between and never quite reaches it's potential. It has it's moments and the story's creativity and the innovative quality of the cast and crew is unquestioned. It just doesn't deliver what it begins to promise.
