This is an excellent movie. Has a great deal of violence but the nature of the movie calls for it since it is about "war". A very good movie to watch with the family. Mel Gibson is an excellent actor and superb story teller. I watch all his movies. Worth seeing.

If you've seen Braveheart, put William Wallace in a tri-corner hat, and you've got the Patriot. Watch Braveheart instead, much better story.
