Read More Although I was annoyed that the actors' pupils repeatedly enlarged after they took a hit, where in real life opiates makes your pupils constrict, this movie was otherwise a realistic potrayal of addiction and the dark places it can take you. The emotions conveyed are rather intense, this isn't the movie to rent if your looking to watch something to escape the drama of real life. I believe that anyone who is thinking about experimenting with any sort of hardcore drug should see this movie first. Although this movie is lacking an inspirational, happy ending, that's the reality of what happens to a majority of those similar to the main characters. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More i dont know why but i jus love this movie! i watched it a long time ago and just had to rent it again. brought back a lot of memories on how my sisters and i used to sing the whole "be excited, be be excited" song and it was crazy to see how the old lady trips about fitting into that damn RED DRESS...haha makes you not wanna be like deez addiks ya know?...crazy movie...VERY interesting...gets my full attention everytime! It's good, but not that good. I believe the message is more powerful than the visual itself. There are hundreds of more disturbing movies out there that this one looks like a Lifetime movie special. People shoot up heroin and speed...so what. Watch The Basketball Diaries or Trainspotting. Those are more disturbing than this one.

Read More Even though I only gave this movie one star, I would say it is definetly something everyone should see. This movie is probably the most haunting movie I have ever seen. It really shocked me to the core and left me feeling depressed and haunted with the images from the movie afterwards. The reason I gave it one star is because, I am glad I saw it as now I will never do a drug ever, however, I never want to see this movie again. It was too frightening and upsetting.
