absolutely hilarious satire of all things stereotypically 80's.don't take this movie seriously and you'll really enjoy it.it was controversial because uptight holier-than-thou's took it at face value.if anything this movie was prophetic in it's showing the true nature of capitalism-cold hearted egotism driven fueled by empty materialism.which naturally leads to murder,mayhem,and really awesome business cards.

this movie is not at all worth your time, the book was much better. Bale does a good job, but the direction and the scenes are weak and you really find youeself not caring about this character, his kills, or his life. Its more like a torture movie than anything thats actually worth watching!!so although the scenes are terrible and gruesome, you start drifting off!!!

Atrocious. I'm all about weird/black humor and horror/gore but this movie was just so ridiculous. I didn't enjoy one bit (ok, I liked the whole business card thing) I'm not a Christian Bale fan and I can't stand perverted (or psychotic... or...is he?) business men from approximately 1987, a very specific description, but it is one of my pet peeves.
