Read More From my own personal experience with a person with the above disorder, i can say the movie is spot-on with depicting this kind of monster. The scenes where he waxes poetic about social injustice or music, are didactic -- learn to spot a soulless character like this, don't be fooled. In reality these people are very intelligent and extremely good actors. I accepted what some people are calling extreme, overblown or heavyhandedness from this movie because it works to desensitize you to what is normal, like a real psychopath would, and makes the movie dark and chilling. One of the best movies i've seen in a long while. Christian Bale is a perfect choice... truly sexy. A real psychopath has to reel you in somehow...... i highly recommend this movie for single women! Also, the ending is appropriate. (There is no cure....) Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

If you have a sense of humor about killing and the macabre you'll love it. Christian Bale is the PERFECT actor for this movie with his signature cold demeanor. This movie is fantastically hilarious in my opinion, and that is the main reason I love it. If you don't find it funny the first time try watching it again! Otherwise, you either get or you don't. Read More unique and twisted story that is so entertaining to watch.imagine an obssessively groomed rich businessman who is a psychopathic killer by night who likes to give his soon-to-be-victims a phylosophical speech on musical appreciation of various '80s bands (i.e. Huey Lewis) while playing them in the background and laying down a dropcloth to kill them on...sound macabre and quirky? it is, but great fun and disturbingly clever.a must see for adults only. Read More Christian Bale is superb as Patrick Bateman, the consummate 1980's Wall Street exec who greedily consumes all the best products by day and people by night. Obsessed with personal hygiene rituals and power dressing, Patrick manages to catch everyone off guard and elude capture because his looks and behavior are so impeccable. Most of the killings are done off screen so there is not a lot of gore. The idea that's presented so well is that it's what's on the outside that counts - nobody ever sees, or cares about what's on the inside - as long as you appear normal and appealing on the outside, you can get away with anything. It also pokes fun at the extravagance and consumerism of the 80s. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
