It's clear that some individuals don't understand the concept of the rating system. It is idiotic to state that a movie is bad because it contains nudity or profanity, when it has been given an "R" rating for...wow: Nudity, Adult Situations, Strong Sexual Content, Not For Children, Adult Language, Profanity. If you can't handle a movie containing those elements, don't rent it. This movie is well produced and acted, based on an even better book. It does require however an open-minded, intelligent audience.

I, unlike some of the other viewers, liked this movie. It's a serious story about a divorced woman with a little daughter who falls in love again and the effects that love could have on her custody arrangements. I would definitely recommend it.

Not terrible, but not real good either. I agree with the lady that said she rented it for Liam. I think he is a cool guy, but disappointed by the last 2 I rented with him. Kinsey is on the weird line as well. Not saying dont rent it, but dont expect a whole lot out of this one! Dont say I didnt warn you!

A difficult storyline, with cause and effect so easily misinterpreted with a sad ending.

Not bad, but nothing special

This movie lacked any real substance except to maybe a woman who let her poor judgement affect the custody of her child. The results and outcome could have been completed in about half the time of the slow attempt at dramatizing the movie. Liam was weak in his performance and Dianne Keaton lacked the real emotion of someone losing a daily contact with their child. I would suggest watching something else for your precious time.

Thought I would love the movie because I like Liam Neeson and Diane Keaton. WRONG! It was a waste of time. Bad story line, nudity, profanity, bad subject matter . . . bad all the way!

This one surprised me. It starts slow but then gathers steam. Diane Keaton is a wonderful actress in nearly any role she does, even this one. However, she's miscast opposite Liam Neeson. I didn't think they had chemistry together, in spite of the powerful story and great acting about a inhibited divorced woman with a young child who become sexually involved with free-spirited artist that leads to innappropiate behaviour that invariably starts a nasty custody fight with her ex. Great acting, with the obvious femistic point that women are damned if they do and damned if they don't. I didn't buy the feminsitc point of view in that innappropriate behavior doesn't trump parental responsibility. Good, thought provoking movie. Definitely R rated.

A little slow.

Neeson is great as always. Keaton is neurotic as usual. Great example of a well acted and directed crappy script about a stupid concept. Children should be treated like children until they are adults. It happens fast enough. Just saying.
