Read More I thought GFI, was better, but this movie with it's flashbacks, helps to understand how the, Corleone family devolped into the organization it became.. I got a new one in the mail, and it contained two copies of disc 1! And, they ... Read More The first time I recieved this in the mail, I got two copies of disc 2. I sent it back saying that I got the wrong DVD. I got a new one in the mail, and it contained two copies of disc 1! And, they looked like they were from different editions of the film! They send both Part 1 and Part 2 discs at the same time so you must read the disc to make sure you aren't going to make the mistake I made. I only saw one disc in my pile of mail and played it thinking that I was watching The Godfather Part II. I wasn't aware of the two disc thing and that Part 2 printed on the disc meant that it was Part 2 of Part II. I watched this movie from halfway thru to the end and, based upon that experienced thought the film sucked. The next day I went thru my mail and found the other disc and realized my mistake. Read More So I get the disc in the mail and it says "disc one of two." Now usually what this means is that there is a bonus disc, which I don't really care about, so I say no big deal. However, it is actually only half the movie! So how do I get the second half? I've hunted over the entire site and found nothing. I assumed then that maybe when I sent the first disc back Blockbuster would send the second. First it took forever for Blockbuster to get the movie(like two weeks) then nothing, they just sent out the next movie in my queue.

Read More In a nutshell, , if one hasn't seen either Godfather 1 or 2, they should not be deprived of being part of an historical adventure into the life and times of organized crime in this country. Part 2 is especially significant as it moves from the early years of Don Corleone to the era of the next generation. It is riviting, with details that practically puts you in the picture. Read More Just as absorbing and exciting as the first film. Fascinating to watch how the Corleone family came to power and equally interesting to witness Michael's own devolution. Thanks to Coppola's continuity of direction, the original Godfather and Part 2 mesh seamlessly. De Niro and Pacino give flawless performances! (And as for the young Pacino -- what a hunk, eh?)
