Great acting, great plot, great production. But still, another example of a family torn apart by syndicated crime...

An excellent, thought provoking, well thought out and well made movie.

Definitely one you must see after watching the first movie. With the couple of flash backs, its interesting to see how Vito came to power and its almost like 2 movies in 1 (and just as long).

I watched The Godfather I, II and III this weekend in their entirety. I enjoyed the movies; however, I received from Blockbuster Online Parts II and III only. I had requested all three. I had to call Blockbuster stores within a 50 mile radius of where I live in order to get Part I. I do not understand why they would not send I, II and III together, so if you want to see this series, I would suggest you just go into the store and purchase all three partsÂ…it is worth adding to your collection.

Yes, it was slow and complicated, but let's face it: it's the sequel to a movie generally considered the best ever made. As I've already wrote, I don't think that The Godfather is the very best movie I've seen, but it was superbly made and acted, and contained a number of classic scenes and lines. This movie does not divert from its predecessor's formula. It is directed wonderfully and acted just as well (some of its most touching scenes take place between Al Pacino and John Cazale and Robert DeNiro does well as the younger Vito, mimicking him perfectly). Perhaps this movie is less "classic" than Part 1, but it shows the downward moral spiral of what could have been a very pure man and the rise to power of his father just as classically as anything in the first.

I rent all the Godfather I, II, III & bonus edition. I loved it, but I couldn't even play this bonus edition. It said running time is 9hrs 5 minutes, but I don't even see the play mode on the screan.
