Read MoreGreat acting, funny-funny lines, Jim Belushi and Bonnie Hunt are hilarious. It has great music if you like the Frank Sinatra era, and Carroll O'Connor is the Irish dad you always wanted -- he and his friends are sweet, charming and very lovable. The entire cast is terrific, and you see some real acting... not to mention it tugs on your heart strings. Story, production design, pace, music, acting, all of it. I was very impressed with Bonnie Hunt as a director. I would and have recomended this movie to others. Even though initially predictable - Minnie needs a heart transplant and you just know Joely is going die soon - the rest of the film is emotionally satisfying with a good ending, but not what you might expect. Bonnie Hunt plays the same character in everything I have seen her in, so I suspect she has never had to be anything other than herself - Clever, good wit, warm and loving.
