180+ minutes of my life I wish I had back. Great Cast lineup and previous star ratings made me think this would be an interesting one to watch. WRONG! A real waste of the cast talent. At one point individual cast members break into song with the refrain "it just doesn't end". It was so pathetic I laughed. But the joke was on me. The movie went on for another pointless 45 minutes. I rate this a 1 star because there is no 1/2 star.

Jason Robards portrays ourl father who passed away from cancer 2/6/97. This movie is not meant to be "entertaining" .. Bring your brain, forget what you EXPECTED...expectations disappoint Every word, gesture and name has a very specific purpose and challenges the understanding of his film. Do frogs have a deep, biblical meaning? Or was it done to shake your mind out of wherever it was drifting to say, hey! lighten up! It's just life.Do we all care enough about our loved ones to put our egos, pretenses and small-minded and judgements aside for the sake of what really matters?t A fabulous job of portraying some of the families interpersonal conflicts, challenges and triumphs when death is imminent and love is paramount for all to express, give and receive before it is too late. A timeless dilemma:reconcile despite histories of feuds so the passing of a loved one is free of regrets.Fragile subject matter in this stereo-typical web of a dysfunctional family facing multi-cultural demons.

Worst I have ever seen. No story line, extremely hard to follow. Nothing but filthy language. If you want to hear filth without a story rent this. Otherwise pass. Very confusing

Don't be fooled by the awards.. I've never seen a movie try so hard and yet fail so miserably. This is the kind of garbage Hollywood considers "high art"? It just goes to show what a bunch of sycophants and tasteless robots are handing out the accolades. This was like a dumbed-down art movie for people that are just not smart enough for a David Lynch movie, but want to feel like they are.
