Seems interesting for awhile, but goes nowhere. I watched the whole thing waiting for some sort punch line at the end. There was none. This movie has no point. Maybe I need to watch it again to make something of it...but it's 3 hours. I was willing to watch Punch Drunk Love again and loved it the second and subsequent times I've watched it. None of the characters were likeable in the least bit. They all moaned and cried and ... Read More I went into this movie expecting great things, and I'm not entirely sure what I actually ended up getting.
None of the characters were likeable in the least bit. They all moaned and cried and whined, "Poor me, poor me," but there wasn't anything to make you feel for them.
The individual stories ranged from interesting to downright bizarre, and two scenes (rain of frogs and a singing number) completely ruined the feel that this movie was grounded in reality.

Read More I don't understand the point of this moive. It is a waste of my time if a movie can not give me either one of following - entertainment, enlightenment or simpaty. This movie tried to, again tried to, deliver ALL of them. And failed miserably in doing so. The worst part is the frog rain. What does it have to do with these people lives? It is trying to intertwine a lot of people from different background. Then there is a frog rain. And there may be no such thing in real life. Dont waste your time or money. I normaly do not write bad reviews but I could not help on this one. It is 3 hours long torture. The director Mr. Anderson needs some dose of reality. With all due respect, snap out of it, sir.
