Three hours was the perfect amount of time to convey a very complex vision. If you have trouble following along, you probably have not had much life experience. Stick with explosions and car chases. However, if you can manage to pay attenion to a single subject for more than 88 minutes, this is definitely one to watch. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I've watched it a number of times and love it every time. I didn't even realize it was 3 hours because I find it engrossing. The acting was nothing short of incredible from then entire cast, and the story was interesting. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
5 out of 9 people found this review helpful I love to watch new and different movies outside my comfort zone. I have heard for years how 'great' this movie is but had never gotten around to watch it. I was sorely disappointed. There is no useful dialog besides the F word, it is said so many times that you wonder what was actually said between characters after the movie ends, which by the way, is over three hours long. I don't believe this creativity was all that creative, and basically showed a bunch of loved actors in roles that we aren't used to seeing them in. I am all for pioneering new types of films and new genres and doing something different, but this was a big mess up that didn't really take a whole lot of genius.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More Yes it is a tad long, but I loved the performances and it left quite an emotional impact on me. It is not a film for those who want their entertainment spoon fed to them in 90 minute chunks of mind numbing simplicity with connect-the-dot plotlines, but rather it is a film that must be seen at least twice to appreciate all of the nuances of all the beauty and emotion hidden within the performances of this brilliant cast. I feel sorry for those who don't have the patience or intelligence to appreciate this film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Wow, I could have shot this movie in like an hour. You really think it's going to come to a sensible, coolconclusion where everyone finds out what they have in common other than whining. Tom Cruise is his usual couch-stomping underwear-bulge showing self trying to convince everyone he's straight. Then it rains frogs. Seriously it rains frogs for some reason. This is like that other movie Happyness which is equally long and horrible and overacted as well as pointless. I would only use this movie to torture prisoners for harsh crimes. It sucked and I felt every min. of it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I liked this movie in spite of how "artsy" they tried to make it. William Macy is one of my favorite actors, but his storyline and charactor could have been completely cut from the movie IMO. Also, they tried to hard to sell the soundtrack. Tom Cruise was excellent, as was Julianne Moore. I would recommend this, but think it should have been shorter. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
