Drew had to be desperate to hook up with drug addicted psycho girl. During most of the movie the best parts were the ones about Drew's care, kindness, and affection for his nearly helpless father. The scenes were genuinely warm. I like the way Caan delivers his lines. The other aspects of the movie I didn't like were the emptiness of several of the characters' lives. A life that revolves around drug, booze, and cigarettes just isn't a life.
