I rented this movie after having seen it many years ago. I enjoyed it very much but have found that some old movies just don't affect me the same way as I have grown older. This movie, however, keeps its shine. It is a little hokey but considering what they were trying to do with special effects back then, it isn't laughably so. I recommend this highly.

Long, slow and boring. The idea is an interesting one, but this movie is way too detailed on scientists doing painstakingly precise experiments, measurements, etc. zzzzzzzzzzzzz This is an incredibly overrated movie! The only reason I didn't give it less than two stars is that it does have an interesting premise and I gave it the benefit of the doubt knowing that it was made nearly 40 years ago. By that I mean the special effects and technology are rinky-dink by today's standards, but I'm sure it was well ahead of it's time at the time it was made.
