Guy Ritchie has a gift for offbeat enormously entertaining stories(think of him as a British Quentin Tarantino).characters that are just plain fun to watch...also don't miss his other masterpiece "Snatch" --that's the one with Brad Pitt and the awesome Dennis Farina. This movie was more of a series of unfortunate events that revolves around people oweing money to certain individuals. And other individuals just trying to make some big money. In this reasonably well acted and farcical caper, four separate groups all converge on the same prize for very different reasons; when the stuff hits the fan, almost everybody suffers a bloody shot-gun death. I have to say, the overall convergence is pretty clever. They are all bad guys but you might find yourself rooting for several of the characters. A little fist and foot ultra-violence is thrown in for good cringe effect. The laughs come from subtle gags and the shear absurdity of theatrical brutality. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Great fun. All the charaters were great. Funny. Had to stop, rewind, and play some scenes just to understand the Cockney accents! I think "Snatch" is even better. Both are fun to watch. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I love this movie, lot's of interplay between disassociated characters, intersting camera angles and scene takes, good british street humor. Read MoreWo, Wo, Wo. I read all the reviews and thought this sounded like a good rental. What a piece of crap. It is so not funny, I am not even sure it would be funny to the British. I will give any movie 45 minutes before I consult the wife to see if we should can it. This stinker didn't make it. We not only didn't laugh, we were bored with the crime caper. I must have a completely different style of movies I like than the other reviewers because this stunk. I thought it seemed to play out like a 1hour teenager show like Dawson's Creek.
