The roles of the children and parents are also well played with realistic and futuristic conflicts arising throughout the story.
The role of Dr. Smith is dark and more sinister than the TV version, and Gary Oldman is perfect.
It may be too intense for children under 7, but is a must see for sci-fi fans 10 and up. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Although the acting was really good, the plot wasn't and I really disliked the ending. If you're looking for something similar to the original show you won't find it in this movie, other than the characters being the same.
There was humorous places in the show and some good action. All in all though I just didn't care for the movie. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This movie tramples on some cherished memories - like the design of the Jupiter 2 spaceship, for example. There is little plot and all, but who cares? No one watching this movie can reasonably expect "High Art". It could have been better, but I have seen much worse. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This is just one big CGI-fest, and waste of CGI at that. Don't waste your time: "Danger Will Robinson, Bad Movie! Danger!" Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

You know the movie is going to suck when if they include any actor from the tv show "Friends" and that is true of this movie. Just be glad there wasn't a sequel from this movie. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

They took a mediocre TV series, and made it into a bad movie with a weak story. The only bright spot was Matt LeBlanc, who proved he can handle a serious role (even with the cheesy dialogue). WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
