Firewalker stars Chuck Norris as Max Donigan, an ex-Marine, and Louis Gossett, Jr. as his buddy, Leo Porter. Both set out to help Patricia Goodwyn (Melody Anderson) find a lost Aztec city and a temple filled with gold. After a few misadventures, their nemesis "El Coyote" (Sonny Landham) comes into view for awhile to make it clear that they are not without serious competition. Barroom brawls and a capture by hostile Native Americans throw roadblocks in their path, but the fearless trio forge onward toward the temple and their destiny. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
Great movie for it's time. It was fun just to sit back and be entertained. Had a great deal of cute humor. Good movie to watch without all of the special effects that are in todays movies.
Good nostalgic movie. took me back to when i saw it in the theatre when i was ten. Because there were no flashy special effects it holds up well to the ravages of time. descent movie worth watching. reminds me of the alan quatermain movies with richard chamberlain. if you like this movie i also recomend those.
Who knew that Chuck Norris could be funny? This is one of our favorite films but it just kills us that we can't afford to buy a copy on DVD...That said, let me assure anyone who hasn't seen it that it is packed from beginning to end with the great Karate action that you expect from Chuck, plus a beautiful blonde babe, a great sidekick in Lou Gossett, and a mix of the supernatural, really funny comedy from everyone (even the bit players!), action, and a twist ending that you will love!
Truly a family friendly film that will please everybody. Even if you're not a Chuck Norris fan, rent this & you will become one!
J. Lee Thompson took a break from his bleak Charles Bronson flicks and put this throw-back of a movie together. It's got a very solid supporting cast. It's certainly tongue-in-cheek, and I suspect another actor other than Norris could illicit more laughs, but with that said, he's the reason people will watch this movie. It's an Indiana Jones-esq genre but with the style of a serial western of the 30's.
If you like tongue-in-cheek action this one is for you. I'm not saying Chuck Norris is the greatest actor around but the cast in this movie will carry the storyline with no trouble! Hilarious in spots, lots of action & even a love interest. This one has it all!
