If you enjoy subtle humor about mustaches, jewish traditions, and flamable black-market slacks, this is your movie. Anyone who is a fan of the Big Lebowski would love this movie. It's hilarious.

This is not a laugh out loud through the whole movie movie. What it does is keep you suspended in tasteful zaniness and constant chuckling and pondering about how crazy everything is. This movie throws you curveballs and keeps you on your toes. This is a good pick if you, like me, need a break from the predictability of mainstream situational comedy.

I've never described a movie as "dorky" before, but this one fits that description. The humor was funny, but not really laughable. Mostly what saves this movie is the cast who take some fairly lame dialogue and make it slightly more interesting with their acting and comic sense. I actually rented this mostly for Sam Rockwell. But, this isn't his best movie either (probably his worst). This isn't a bad movie, but I wouldn't recommend it because it lacks energy and drama and doesn't compensate for that gap with enough humor.

I love this movie. It has great quirky characters and very subtle humor. I'm a fan of Paul Giamatti, and I think that his role as Veal Chop is his best ever. Sam Rockwell is awesome. Great directing, great acting, great sound track. This movie has always been panned by critics, but It cracks me up every time I watch it.
