The sex scenes are beautifully shot. Catherine McCormack is a really beautiful and intelligent actress. It was really good, kind of reminded me of the movie Lady Jane. It is a good period piece...definitely a love story. A little vulgar...it's very sexual, so be prepared for that. Like, sleeping with all those men wouldn't give her a rip roaring case of STD's? Nothing appealing in that. Sort of a Pretty Woman kind of movie. I'd also imagine that if a viewer liked "Sex in the City" they would appreciate this story. It's pretty light hearted too, no heart wrenching endings.
The romantic male role in this movie, Rufus Sewell, is hot, his eyes are a little bulge-y , like my bulldog's, but still he is definitely has sex appeal, and the lead actress, Catherine McCormack is lovely (she played Mel Gibson's wife in Braveheart).
