better and had to have something redeeming. I was wrong. Done in black and white with shakey
camera angles and loud background music at times...just a waste of my time. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

And some five years later the only other completely original movie that comes to mind is Primer. This movie is defiantly not for the average couch potato. Blinded by the sun as child Sean Gillette is about to crack the financial world wide open with a computer program that forecasts the stock market. But hes kind of off center, I mean this guy injects pain killers directly into his brain for starters. High crimes abound and he gets a top secret chip for his computer. He also gets involved with some Orthodox Jews who think he can answer the mathematicss of Pi, which in their case gives them the entrance to speak directly with GOD. Is this movie interesting? YOU BET IT IS, but like I sais before, it moves at a fast and furious pace and youd had better have something between your ears or you will not be able to keep up with the plot. This DVD is a keeper for the right folks. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I've never witnessed such a polar opinion view of a movie in my life!! I loved this movie, which i thought was quite strange. it was so weird...yet so raw and familiar. this poor guy was bombarded with a touch of the divine genius, and wow can that hurt! "paranoia, will destroy ya" (quote from my dad.) What really intrigues me about this film, is either all of it ... or maybe none of it! Either way i'm giving it 5 stars. Read More The story involves a mentally ill math genius who's tormented by both his illness and people who want to use his discoveries for personal gain. The use of mathematics as a plot line was interesting, but the main character never achieves the level of understanding or sympathy that we had with Russel Crowe in "A Beautiful Mind", and the relationships with the bad guys are incomplete and unresolved. It was an unsatisfying film. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I like offbeat dramas, but this movie could have been cut to 30 minutes. It looked like a student's attempt to make an MTV version of a 1940s film noir movie. Very little takes place and between the few snippets of dialogue, you have an attempt at trying to repetitiously visually portray the central character's migraine's and paranoia. If you want a terrifically scripted, wonderfully edited, thoughtful, intellectual, offbeat movie, watch What the Bleep Do We Know. For a different type of grimy NY movie, take a look at Leon, the Professional. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I felt this movie was a total waist of my time. About 15 minutes into it I wanted to turn it off but I kept watching just to see if it would ever go anywhere. Unfortunately, it never did. Personally I can't see how ANYONE could find this movie tollerable. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
