Hands down, one of my top 10 favs of all time...it has everything: suspense, drama, comedy, social commentary, action, and a love story. Just watch the longing on Robert Forster's face as he listens to the Delfonics song and tries to figure out the mystery that Miss Jackie Brown is all about. It'll leave you wanting to watch it again and again. Every bit as compelling, watchable, and stylish as Pulp Fiction. And for film afficionadoes, there are tons of nods to Blaxploitation films as well as other genres from the glorious 70's with Pam Grier and Robert Forster (stars of the aforementioned film genres) breathing new life into Elmore Leonard's rich characters. It's a knockout! Make sure you get the extras disc for trailers of Pam and Robert's old films...

Pam Grier & Samuel L. Jackson are both great in roles that were clearly designed only for them. Supporting cast boasts a lot of big names and they all contribute well to this crime drama. Quentin's poignant and raw (sometimes long winded) dialogue is what makes this movie for me. Most enjoyable the first viewing just to see who is "playing" whom. Interesting soundtrack keeps the movie going in slow parts. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

It was quintessential Tarantino. Harsh language and violence--but you believe it! (as opposed to gratuitous). Was one of the best movies I'd never heard of, and I queued it because it was Tarantino and wanted to give him a chance for redemption because "Dusk Til Dawn" was awful. ENJOY this one!
