American Werwolf in paris has a great story line. Its interesting, and watching it makes you think there is hope for a great sequal from the original that is highly praised as the best werewolf movie since the original Wolf Man. But once the werewolf shows itself, it all goes down hill. I believe the transformation scene is fantastic, the CG didnt screw this up to bad, but the actual werewolf looked pathetic. I saw this opening days when it first came out and loved it, but again i was young and didnt understand great horror makeup and effects. After watching it again it just didnt work for me because i really wish they would have stuck to the original when it came to incredible makeup. Again this was the first big budget werewolf movie to use CGI so i say good try, but they still should have hired John Landis to come in, smack them in the face and say......stop ruining my franchise.
