Although this rather inconspicuous romantic comedy doesn't offer much new--except refreshingly ordinary lead characters--and certainly doesn't permit surprises, it unerringly follows the romantic comedy formula with charming results. Garofalo's cynical, wise-cracking American abroad is convincing if unoriginal, and O'Hara's jaded, devil-may-care Irish journalist is attractive if unconventional. They don't create much romantic chemistry, but they generate an excess of clever banter and goofy charm. Overall, this movie is cute, but not much more.

In the mood for a feel good, make you blush, say "Awww" kind of film? This is perfect for a girls night in- fuzzy pants, warm throw blanket, popcorn and your drink of choice. This is NOT your film if your are test driving a relationship- this is viewed as torture by most men. I highly recommend this film.
