This movie is a rollicking good time from start to finish. The premise is wonderfully creepy. The only poor part is that they expect us to believe that by switching faces, Travolta & Cage also magically get eachother's vey different body type. But that's okay. It's so fun that I forgive them that. I highly recommend it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

While Cage and Travolta do justice to the poorly written characters the script couldn't carry the plot. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This movie is a great movie if you're 12. Otherwise you'll see through the plot holes, the cheesy "made-for-the-trailer" scenes (I mean come on, having them look into a mirror as they face each other? *gag*), and the over-the-top (in a bad way) action scenes. A little spoiler, but the end fight lasts forever and they fight on land, sea, air.... I kept waiting for them to hitch a ride on a space shuttle to fight on the space station. I saw this in the theater when it came out and was SO BAD that I remember it in detail. I personally find the 2 leading actors as cheesy and over-rated as this movie. Save your rental for Waterworld or Ishtar or something. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

If you can get past him then it's fairly entertaining. There are some real over the top stupid parts, but other parts that hold your attention. The motorboat scene was really cool and may make it worth renting by itself. If it wasn't for John Travolta I wouldn't recommend this in the least. I also had a hard time getting past the believability in that two people trading faces. So, basically this is an up and down movie. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Look ! Big explosions ! The problem with the positive reviews for this move is the assumption that you can't have great action and great storytelling with well developed and acted characters. The Matrix did this. X-Men did this.
Don't just settle for a aweful excuse for a film that is nothing more than chewing gum for the mind. If asked again, I would rather watch a front-loading washing machine for 90 minutes than this tripe. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
