Warren Beatty and Goldie Hawn are not enjoyable to watch. Beatty is not too bad, but Hawn is sickening - simpering, preening, and cutsie - and this is just her before she begins "acting". This is too bad, since the plot and storyline is actually quite good, and the various criminals they steal from are well played, and Goldfinger himself is in the film, with a large bar of gold. The music is intrusive, but the vehicles and trains are spot on. Good locations and scenery, and interesting plot, good supporting cast, just terrible leads.

I couldn't get through 15 minutes of "Dollars" without nausea. I usually forgive how dated most movies shot in the 70s appear, but Dollars is just a bad movie. The dialog is idiotic, the acting overcooked, and the plot incredulous. Like a 90-minute Rowan And Martin Laugh-in skit, only not funny.

Warren Beatty is at his best playing a very clever character who can pull a heist better than anyone and Goldie Hawn is his partner in crime who's cleverness in her own terms makes her role a lot more delightful. Great work from writer/director Richard Brooks.
